On Friday, I went and saw the band Kittie along with Downsoul, Tomorrow’s Tragedy, and Soulkill play at 102 Ultra Lounge. okay, stop the presses. 102 Ultra Lounge??!?! The club formerly known as Ushuaia. Who the fuck came up with 102 Ultra Lounge? As far as I can tell, it is not connected to a radio station at 102.1-9 FM. What a retarded name.
Anyway, I wasn’t sure whether this was going to be a good concert. However, I had nothing better to do on a Friday night and tickets for this show were only $18.00. So I figured, ah wtf might as well go. I was definitely glad I had gone when I left the club. As much as people give shit to Kittie about being an “all girl band” and whatever stereotypes that includes, they really brought their shit. They owned the place. In fact, their current lineup is probably the best the band has had so far, musically speaking. They played a lot from their current album (which I don’t have yet) and some of their older stuff. It was fucking cool.

I guess their bassist was out sick, so Kittie brought in some guy from another band to fill in.
