world of warcraft
So I started playing WoW about a month ago. A friend gave me his 10 day trial and I have been playing it since. It’s a pretty decent game. Nice graphics, interesting community feel to the game, but there are a few downsides. The server I play on is often times full, so I have to wait in a queue to get back on the server. Sometimes the games lags pretty badly. I don’t know if this is because the server is underpowered or if it is because it is a westcoast server. The monthly fee is a bit expensive for the amount of issues the game has. I wish Blizzard would allow a player to transfer characters between realms. Would make it nice to go to a less populated, faster realm.
My friend and I started a cool guild. We call ourselves “Bastion of Stormwind”. I set up a forum over here. I may set up a nice web site with a domain at some point. We’ll see how the guild goes. Some nice members in the guild currently. We try to recruit people who use their main characters, willing to help anyone in the guild with needed items or quests, and are sociable. Finding people like that seems to be few and hard between.
The realm I play on is Silvermoon, and my name is “theblackout”. PST me if you want to join the guild or if you wanna do some quests. I usually play in the evenings east coast time.
What’s funny is my friends and I found the private WoW server software and set up a server at one of the lans. Good thing we did because adelphia hsi went out for three hours. That was kind of an interesting process. Get to see the behind-the-scenes information that goes into WoW, like the gamemaster commands which can let you do just about anything, such as give levels, teleport, etc. Fun stuff.
