I finally got tired of clarkconnect 2.2 home being stupid. Every time Adelphia would go down and come back up, my router would fuck up the firewall script. I would have to restart the firewall to restore internet connectivity to my clients on my home network. Blah. Anyway, clarkconnect 2.2 was discontinued, so no more package updates were being released.
So I did a fresh install of clarkconnect 3.0 home edition and I am liking it so far. It uses the fedora product line, so the packages are more up-to-date. The firewall is much more robust, and administering it is a lot easier. The web page for the firewall is more like linksys/d-link/netgear home routers. It didn’t take very long to get it up and running. Only had to swap two network cables around, since I have three network cards in this router: one for WAN, one for LAN, and one for WLAN.
