Favorite TV Shows
In the past month, I’ve started watching West Wing and Crossing Jordan re-runs on A&E and Bravo. I like both shows a lot, especially Crossing Jordan. I’m not that much into the autopsies, but I like how they solve the cases on the show. West Wing is fun to watch because it makes you wonder what happens in everyday life at the White House. I also entered to win Season 3 dvd set of West Wing. I probably won’t win, but hell it took 10secs to fill out the form and you can enter multiple times. ![]()
Two weeks I almost hit the credit line limit on my credit card. So I while I was logged into my credit card’s site, I figured might as well ask for a credit line increase. I was instantly approved for a $3100 credit line, $1000 increase.
That should help in the future, although currently I am saving my money and paying bills off.
I finished punching down four more network jacks in the basement. On the wall, there is now a total of eleven network jacks, all plugged into my Dell 16 port gigabit network switch. I am ready for the lan parties. I still have to finish putting up a backer board for the baseboard heat that will be put in very soon. I had originally thought 1×6 pine board would be a nice backerboard, but I don’t have the tools to miter the ends. I put half of it up and it looks like ass. I also didn’t check if it was level. So I may just take it all out. I haven’t decided yet. Any suggestions? I plan on putting up paneling for a wall covering. Just the cheap stuff at home depot; nothing fancy. Don’t really need it fancy for the basement. Once the heat is installed, I gotta start putting up insulation to keep the heat in here and to get rid of drafts. Man I need money badly again… ![]()
Last week, I worked two nights for the consulting contract I have with Fleet. I also got a call from a friend during the week; he was kinda over his head on a networking job. His boss, I guess, didn’t allocate enough time to install raceway, boxes, network jacks, and punch everything down. So I worked four hours on that job. Punched down 16 network jacks, and punched down 8 network cables into the patch panel. I did a good job; didn’t make one mistake as far as I know. I sent an invoice to my friend’s boss and am awaiting payment.
I went down to L.L. Bean in Freeport a couple days ago to get my jacket exchanged. This is the second L.L. Bean Jacket where the zipper broke. I’ve only had this jacket for two years too. Either I’m abusive to the zippers, or they are cheap zippers. I’m leaning towards the latter; the zippers are those junk YKK zippers. I hate them. Unfortunately, L.L. Bean uses them in like 99% of their jackets. Oh well. Every two years or so I will go down and exchange my jacket. That is one good thing about L.L. Bean: You can bring any item back for exchange, repair, cash back (with receipt), or instore credit (gift certificate). Since I didn’t have my receipt, I opted for the gift certificate so I could get a new jacket on the spot. I did find one, which is almost exactly like mine, just different colors.
So my friend Jason got his hands on two backstage passes to the Slayer/Killswitch Engage concert. That was last night. I decided not to buy one from him and did not go. For some reason, I just did not feel like going. On other concert news, Sevendust will be back in Maine. That concert I have to go to. I just hope I do not have any work that night. $225 vs. Sevendust. While I love Sevendust, I would have to take the cash since my budget is tight.
