So last saturday I had a lan party at my house. Only four people showed up, but that’s ok. I didn’t want a huge lan party. I need more tables and chairs. It was too cold in the basement though. I just finished insulating this back wall, so that should help a bit. I put a small heater down here. Hope it makes a difference, but I doubt it. Ran two cat5e and one catv line to the backwall for tv, phone, and network. Basement is coming along well.
I got a job offer at work to become the 24/7 network and tech support person. Not sure if I want it, but if it will pay well, I guess I should take it. My college advisor also gave me a job offer to subsitute teach his morning and afternoon classes on Friday while he attends a meeting. So that should be fun. Get paid. Six hours. I’ll talk to him tomorrow for more details on his teaching plans for the classes. He briefly discussed putting faults on Windows XP computers in the morning class to have students troubleshoot, and then afternoon class discuss wireless.
I moved my computer into the basement. Works well down here. Just need heat. Reoccuring theme here. It’s a fun project to work down here, despite smashing my thumb a few times with a hammer. Not doing a job right if you don’t spill some blood.

Friday night I went to the Godsmack/Ill Nino/Dropbox concert in Lewiston. Decent concert from what I remember. I was really sick, fever, chills, headcold. I think I passed out for awhile when Dropbox came out. I drank a lot of water, thus had to piss like every five minutes. Stupid lines for the bathrooms. Saw Ill Nino set. They were awesome. I don’t think there were a lot of fans in the crowd though. No boos or shit like that, just not any energy for them. I stayed for a couple Godsmack songs and decided to leave. Raced home from Lewiston in like 25mins. lol
Before the concert, I went to Bull Moose in Lewiston to wait for the Ill Nino meet & greet. They finally showed up at around 4pm. I got my cd signed. Pics in my gallery. Only about 50 people showed up for the meet & greet. I think Ill Nino were let down personally and they seemed pissed. I’m not sure who to blame though. Not a lot of coverage on TOS and other radio stations I guess. Prolly the band’s management fault too, for not getting the word out to the stations. The band hung out for like an hour. Perusing through the store. They hit all the sections looking at cds. I don’t know if any of them bought anything. A bunch of teen groupies were following one of the guys around and then he decided to go to Sears next door to get a hair dryer. Yeah, these guys have some bad ass dreads.
I tried to win some tickets for my friend Mike, but the stupid drawing was rigged. The kid who won, signed his name on one of the tickets, and left his stub attached to the ticket put int he box. All they did was made the kid sign a paper to prove signature, not like show ID or just be disqualified. How gay.
I saw an friend from UMaine I hadn’t seen in like three years. She was there with her fiance I guess. I didn’t know either of them liked Ill Nino. Thought that was kinda funny/cool. Shouts out to those 2 if you read this. Good to see them.
Anyway I was sick all fucking weekend. Feverish, chills, headcold. Today I’m finally feeling better. Did some yardwork and worked in my basement, trying to organize shit for a lan party this weekend. Man that would be sweet.

fucking sevendust owned the fucking concert up. holy shit. what a great concert. honestly, was one of the greatest concerts ive been to. and looking through my ticket stubs, i have 17 concerts (plus i think 4 more which i lost). thats a lot of concert time. <3 concerts.
so i took my friend shannon. we had a blast. the pits were nuts. johnny damon of the boston red sox was up in the upperdeck getting hammered and having a good time. he definately had the grizzly adams goin on there. lajon from sevendust dedicated a song to him. i met like 10 people i know at the concert. crazy. jake's classmate ariel was there. she tapped me on the shoulder at the end of the concert. soo crazy. we then proceeded to find guitar picks. she found two and gave me one. check it out in my gallery. shannon then found another one as we were leaving.
there was this one psycho blonde with a wifebeater shirt on in the pits behind me. holy crap she was crazy. messing people up in the pits. my friend was in the pits with her and he said she got face planted twice but got back up and kept going right at it. thats the kind of energy you get from a sevendust concert. so much energy we made lajon shed a few tears for his fallen bro and prolly others. RIP dave, lynn, layne, kirt, and all other great ones out there. you will be missed.
got my scanner hooked up tonight and i scanned all my concert ticket stubs, signed cds, and guitar picks in. check it out in my gallery.
