cluster fucked.
so i finally got my openmosix linux cluster up and operational. it consists of one p2 333mhz/128mb ram and a p3 800mhz/512mb ram systems. one runs clarkconnect, my router. the other runs mandrake 9.2 for the time being. it took me awhile to get that p3 800mhz system up because a 15gb maxtor hdd i have has issues. bios will see it on the 1st screen, but then it wont see it afterwards. maxtor’s util cdrom saw it fine and i could install linux on it (cuz i booted off a cdrom). i tried swapping cables, verifying jumper settings, and any else i could think of. nothing worked. so i popped in a wd 10gb hdd i had; worked like a charm. very quiet too.
i’ll get a link up for my openmosixwebview graphs showing off my wonderful cluster. i’m currently testing it by running seti@home across it. i had to run apache on the mandrake system cuz apache died on my router. some fucked up ssl_mutex log error. cant make one or some shit. that was a bug from a previous apache build, but supposedly fixed in the apache version im currently running. oh well.
so im pretty happy about this cluster. once i get another computer case, ill be able to put a p3 450 node online in the cluster as well.
