so i have unofficially started my business: computer repair. A lady at work needed her comp fixed after getting the blaster worm. lots of updated needed to be applied. 400 some odd spyware item removed when i installed adaware. man great program adaware is. fkin spyware can fubar your comp. they leech cpu cycles and track your internet usage. yucky stuff. a lady at my mom’s work needed her machine patched after getting the blaster worm. also many updates needed to be applied. couple days ago she needed the comps at her worm patched for the blaster worm. i kinda like this stuff. it is easy to do. i just run the sarc blaster removal tool and then apply the patch. easy money.
i’m currently charging $20/hr which is like 50-80 bux cheaper than what the local comp shops charge. why would someone wanna pay that much when they want the problem fix asap. i drive to them and make every attempt to fix the problem there. if not, i bring their comp home with me to do what is needed.
did my 1st tower climb last week. was interesting. i wasnt scared that bad, more tired of climbing this self-supporting tower. you climb up on pegs that are unevenly spaced on each side about 3ft appart. the belts on my climbing harness always get caught. i got up prolly to the 100ft level before calling it quits and climbing back down. im prolly gunna have to climb again on tuesday, to around 160ft to adjust a dish. not too fun on a hill that is about 1000ft tall. windy. i hope there is no wind that day and i can complete my work quickly and get down. i think i will talk to my boss and see if he will give me any hazard pay. otherwise i might not do the climb. $8/hr isnt worth my life.
speaking of work, it is rather depressing me. occasionally there is the kool incident. like when we showed up at a customers house. he said he would be at work but the house was open and for us to fix his internet connection. much my coworkers and myself and this woman in the house suprise we were there. she was standing in the doorway completely naked. she freaked for a sec and then ran to get some clothes on. unfortunately for me i was looking down where i was walking and completely missed the entire incident. wtfh. my coworker mumbled something and i looked up and she was gone. damnit. oh well.
so i put in an app at a local hospital looking for an IT tech. they preferred someone with an associates degree. i dont have mine yet, but i hope my certifications and my experience make up for that. i have yet to hear back from them. i should call them.
still walking teh earth alone. oh well.
i like the evanescence song “going under”. video is pretty sweet. today i downloaded like 6 mp3 albums. most are good. also did a lot of yardwork, cleaning up the back acre of my mom’s property. lots of trees/brush to be cut down. love the exercise.

Last Friday night I went to a koRn concert. It was only 20mins from my house!! I love concerts like that. Smal venue, the civic center in augusta maine. The concert was awesome. A band called endo opened for them. They weren’t that good. korn played two of my favorite songs: blind and faget. Sooo fucken good. Soooo loud. Sooo hardcore.
Jon played shoots and ladders on the bagpipes, of course. That was kool. Before korn got on stage, I watched the drummer doing his pre-show thing. tapping out the drum beats while huffing pure oxygen. In fact I think Jon did huff a bit during their set. Anyway they ruled.
nice rpc worm hitting the intarweb hardcore. update virus defs, scan for viruses, and apply that ms patch people. My angst with ms is that they released this patch last month. They put it on their technet site, which is next to impossible to navigate. They didnt put this patch on windowsupdate, even though there is a worm running around the web infecting people and shutting their puters off. wtf.
Course I didn’t get hit by it since I got my trusty ClarkConnect linux router protecting my ass. Speaking of ClarkConnect, they released a new version a couple days ago. Time for me to upgrade.
Well I got my RMAed maxtor hdd in. Same exact model, works fine. Reloading Windows 2000 pro SP4 now. Then to install all my apps again…..

Wow, its been forever since I have posted here.
Cliff notes:
1. I’m now 21. Yes, legal drinking age….. Unlike most of my friends, I have been very honest in following this law. However I’m still cautious of getting wasted all the time due to the bad things I have seen those people do and become.
2. Funny story at work. I’ll tell some other time.
3. I hate maxtor. I sent them a dying 60gb drive; they in turn send me an exact model drive, with 1yr left on the 3yr warranty. wtf bastards.

6. sleep. or attempt to. I don’t enjoy sleeping like I used to. Waste of time. Never get a good deep sleep anymore.
